Lincolnshire Business Angels can support you to raise funds for your start-up or early-stage business by helping you get investment ready and in front of the right investors for your proposal.
Businesses are more likely to secure investment from a local investment network than through other funding routes [UK Business Angels Association webinar, March 2020]. You can connect with Business Angels from a wide range of backgrounds, who have the right experience and industry knowledge for your business, at our pitch presentation events.
The support we can provide is not only financial. We also provide mentoring and access to other services, grants and networks.
Getting investment ready
We will support you to get investment ready before we introduce you to our Business Angels Network. This can include an award-winning, accelerated learning course in Investment Readiness. This two-day course is delivered by industry experts and fully funded by the Productivity Programme for Greater Lincolnshire and Lincoln Science & Innovation Park. This participatory course will help you to put together a business plan, work out financials, and build or refine your pitch before you present to a panel of our Angels.
Pitch presentation events
Our pitch presentation events are a great way to get in front of people who are focused on investing in businesses like yours.
At these quarterly events, businesses pitch to a panel of Lincolnshire Business Angels. Each business gives a ten-minute presentation to provide an overview of their proposal, followed by a ten-minute live Q&A with the Angels, who then give feedback on the presentation.
You are then introduced to those Angels who have expressed an interest in your proposal by the Lincolnshire Business Angels Network Manager.
